The Global Entrepreneur Programme (GEP) is the UK government’s highly selective programme for ambitious international scaleups looking to establish a UK headquarters or R&D presence, and use the UK as a launchpad for global expansion.

The GEP’s delivery is supported by our experienced dealmakers. They provide bespoke, peer level support to founders, ensuring they have the guidance and access to opportunities needed for their company’s successful entry into the UK market and further global expansion.

What the GEP is looking for

The GEP is for highly ambitious and innovative scaling companies who are looking to establish a headquarters or R&D presence in the UK.

The GEP is looking for companies which fall into the following criteria.

Location

• Not currently based in the UK and are looking to establish an international HQ, subsidary or R&D centre in the UK

Growing revenue

• From £250,000 (sector dependent) to over £10 million revenue generated
• High Growth Potential – over 20% growth (over 3 years) or meet the OECD high-growth definitionopens www.gov.uk in a new tab
• Successful equity raise
• Highly innovative with registered IP
• Founders are also assessed against the Innovator Founder Visaopens www.gov.uk in a new tab criteria

Expanding headcount

• Evidence of strong organisational growth and scaling capacity
• Founder/Co-founder to relocate – or senior strategic role created in the UK
